"What's Love Got To Do With It" is a song performed by Tina Turner, recorded on her album Private Dancer in 1984. The song appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Calderone's Return (Part II)".

NotesEdit

  • This song was Tina Turner's only #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, and her only gold single. It was played over the end credits instead of the normal Miami Vice Theme, one of only three times in the series this occurred. Due to the length of the sequence (and all of the flashbacks plus the end credits), most of the song is played instead of a "snippet".
  • The song that knocked "What's Love Got To Do With It" out of the #1 spot was John Waite's "Missing You", featured in the episode "Heart of Darkness".
