"Wake Up And Live" is a song performed by Bob Marley & the Wailers, recorded on the album Survival in 1979. The song appeared in the Miami Vice episode "The Big Thaw".

  • The album cover for Survival features flags for the countries in Africa at the time of the album's release, except Libya, South Africa (whose then-Apartheid government censored the album), Nambia, and four others (some of which weren't even countries in 1979).
  • Marley planned to release Survival as part of a trilogy of albums (along with Uprising and Confrontation) with the theme being African unity, but he died before all three were released (Confrontation was released in 1983, two years after his death).
