Terrance Quinn (born July 15, 1957) is an American actor. He appeared in the show Miami Vice as Richard Cain, a defense attorney for Sally Alvarado (played by Michael Madsen) and a Crockett adversary in the episode "Give a Little, Take a Little".

Early Life/Career[]

O'Quinn was born in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, but grew up in Newberry, a nearby city. He is one of 11 siblings, and attended Central Michigan University and the University of Iowa, graduating from the latter institution. After beginning his acting career, he changed his surname to O'Quinn to differentiate him from another Terrance Quinn that was an actor. He made his acting debut in 1980's TV movie F.D.R.: The Last Year, then his film debut in Heaven's Gate, followed by more roles in Without A Trace (with Cheryl Giannini & Jacqueline Brookes), All The Right Moves (with Keith Diamond, Places In The Heart (with Jay Patterson), Mischief, and Silver Bullet (with Bill Smitrovich). He appeared in the soap opera The Doctors followed by guest roles in Moonlighting (with Bruce Willis), L.A. Law, Jake and the Fatman, Homicide: Life On The Street (with Richard Belzer), before winning a regular role as Peter Watts in the sci-fi series Millenium and recurring roles as Admiral Thomas Boone on the series JAG, as FBI Asst. Director Kendall in J.J. Abrams' series Alias, and General Nicholas Alexander on The West Wing. His most recent roles were as John Locke on Abrams' series Lost, as Commander Joe White in the series Hawaii Five-0, the series Falling Skies, Full Circle, Secrets and Lies, Blacklist: Redemption, Castle Rock, and Patriot.

Personal Life[]

O'Quinn married his wife Lori in 1979, and they have two sons: Oliver (b. 1984) & Hunter (b. 1986).
