Tanita Tikaram (born August 12, 1969, Munster, Germany) is a British-German singer-songwriter whose song "Twist In My Sobriety" appeared in the episode "The Lost Madonna" of the series Miami Vice.

Tikaram began her career playing the nightclubs when she was discovered by WEA Records, who signed her to a recording deal and in 1988, released her debut album, Ancient Heart, produced by Rod Argent (from The Zombies and Argent) and Peter Van Hooke (from Mike + The Mechanics), her first singles, "Twist In My Sobriety" and "Good Tradition", were UK Top 10 singles and "Sobriety" reached the Top 30 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart in the US. The album's success launched a world tour and led to four more albums, each less successful than the last, until she took a sabbatical after her 1996 compilation album The Best of Tanita Tikaram. She returned to the studio in 2005 and recorded Sentimental, and plans to release another album sometime in 2011.
