  • Cactus World News sent a demo tape of their music to U2's Bono, and he brought them in to record their debut EP, The Bridge. Despite MTV airplay and media attention, Despite their debut LP Urban Beaches selling over 250,000 copies in US the group  fell foul of Record company politics and eventually disbanded in the early 1990s.
