Peter Lance wrote the episodes "The Rising Sun Of Death", "Baseballs of Death", "Indian Wars", and "Badge Of Dishonor", and served as story editor for ten Season 4 episodes of the series Miami Vice.

Lance is a journalist, winning five Emmys for his work with WNET-TV and ABC News as an investigative reporter, producing the investigative show 20/20 from its' inception in 1978 until 1982 (and serving as a correspondent), then took a break from journalism and got into screenwriting, writing five episodes of Crime Story, co-created the short-lived 1993-94 series Missing Persons, then became an author, writing three books covering Al-Qaida and the War on Terror; 1000 Years of Revenge, Cover Up, and Triple Cross.
