Peter Friedman (born April 24, 1949) is an American actor, who appeared in the show Miami Vice as Morgan, owner of a chain of hot dog stands (that double as gambling/drug outlets) in the episode "Nobody Lives Forever".

CareerEdit

Friedman was born in New York City. He made his Broadway debut in 1972 in the play The Great God Brown. He has also appeared in The Visit, Piaf, A Soldier's Play, The Heidi Chronicles, Ragtime, and Twelve Angry Men. He made his TV debut in 1975's The Rules of the Game, then played the voices of various Muppets on The Muppet Show before appearing in a number of early 1980's TV movies, including Rage of Angels (with Kevin Conway), Hothouse (with Katherine Borowitz), and Guilty Until Proven Innocent (with Mark Metcalf) until he played a regular role in Brooklyn Bridge from 1991-93, then moved back into TV movies until making guest roles in NYPD Blue (with Garcelle Beauvais), Ghost Whisperer, Without A Trace, Law & Order, 666 Park Avenue (with Terry O'Quinn), Person of Interest (with Jay O. Sanders, and his most recent TV appearance, in 2015's The Affair. In movies, Friedman debuted in 1980's You Better Watch Out, followed by Prince of the City (with Norman Parker, Paul Roebling, and Bob Balaban), Daniel (with Norman Parker, Julie Bovasso, and Amanda Plummer), Single White Female, Blink (with James Remar), Safe (with Xander Berkeley), Breaking Upwards, Coming Up Roses, and Keep in Touch.

Personal LifeEdit

Friedman was married to actress Joan Allen (Nixon (with John Diehl), The Crucible, and The Contender) from 1990-2002, when they divorced. They have a daughter, Sadie (born 1994).
