"Missing You" is a song performed by John Waite, recorded on his album No Brakes in 1984. The song appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Heart of Darkness".

NotesEdit

  • "Missing You" appeared on Miami Vice during its run as the #1 song on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart before being replaced by Prince's "Let's Go Crazy". This was the first time these two events occurred.
  • John Waite performed in two bands in the 1980s (The Babys and Bad English) as well as his solo career. He would team up with bluegrass legend Alison Krauss for a remake in 2007.
  • Tina Turner also remade the song in 1996. Coincidentally, Tina Turner's hit "What's Love Got To Do With It" (featured in "Calderone's Return (Part II)" was knocked out of the Billboard Hot 100 top spot by Waite's song.
