Michael Charles Chiklis (born August 30, 1963, Lowell, Massachusetts) is an American actor and director who made his acting debut as NYPD Detective Jeffrey Whitehead in the episode "The Lost Madonna" of the series Miami Vice.
Career[]
Chikils' most famous roles include five seasons as "Tony Scali" in the 1991-96 series The Commish, seven seasons (and his Emmy-winning role) as Det. Vic Mackey in the 2002-08 series The Shield (with C.C.H. Pounder), as "Jim Powell" in the 2010-11 series No Ordinary Family, and Vegas (with Richard Edson). Some of his other TV roles include in the series B.L. Stryker, Murphy Brown (with Robert Pastorelli), L.A. Law (with Jimmy Smits), Seinfield (with Michael Richards), Family Guy and Robot Chicken, the TV movie The Three Stooges (with Evan Handler), Sons of Anarchy (with C.C.H. Pounder, Kim Coates, and Jimmy Smits), The Simpsons (with Harry Shearer), and Gotham.
His movie roles include his debut in Wired (with Ray Sharkey, Patti D'Arbanville, Lucinda Jenney, Tom Bower, and J.C. Quinn), Nixon (with Robert Beltran and John Diehl), Fantastic Four, High School (with Mykelti Williamson), The Do-Over (with Luis Guzman), and 1985.
