  • "Mercury Blues" was originally written in 1949, artists that have covered the song include Steve Miller Band, Meat Loaf, Dwight Yoakam and Alan Jackson. Jackson's version was used in a Ford truck commercial in the early 2000s (though the refrain was changed to "gonna buy me a Ford truck and cruise up and down the road".
