Maria Lupe Cruz is the wife of crime boss Jorge Cruz, the mother of Francesco Cruz and Felipe Cruz, and the sister of Father Ernesto Lupe. She is the planner of the numerous parties the Cruz family has, and is very happy when the entire family gets together in Miami. Maria stood behind her husband and sons, unconditionally. But when Ernesto was murdered by her husband, Maria became enraged about how Jorge let his own personal feelings interfere with his judgment, and that her brother was killed by her husband, then shot Jorge twice in the shoulder before she was stopped by Metro-Dade police, and Jorge was arrested for Ernesto's murder.
