Jeffrey David Fahey (Born November 29, 1952) is an American actor in both movies & television. He appeared in the show Miami Vice as Eddie Kaye, gun-runner and destroyer of Crockett's Ferrari Daytona (one of Vice's most notable moments) in the episode "When Irish Eyes Are Crying".

Early lifeEdit

Fahey was born in Olean, New York, the sixth of 13 siblings. He was raised in Buffalo, New York from the age of ten and attended Father Baker's High School there. After graduation, Fahey left home at the age of seventeen, subsequently hitchhiking to Alaska, backpacking through Europe and working in India and on an Israeli Kibbutz. He then returned to Buffalo and joined the Studio Arena Theatre.

CareerEdit

He received a scholarship in 1977 to dance with the Joffrey Ballet in New York City, while there he studied with Myra Rastova, began doing off Broadway theatre. He then ventured into television in the soap opera One Life To Live, where he played Gary Gorelli for two years. His debut film role was in Silverado (with Lynn Whitfield, Brian Dennehy, and Pepe Serna) as Deputy Tyree. Some of Fahey's other movie roles include The Lawnmower Man and Wyatt Earp (with David Andrews), then returned to TV as star of the 1995 ABC series The Marshal. After Marshal was cancelled after one season, he began guesting on several TV shows, including Don Johnson's Nash Bridges, Crossing Jordan, Psych, Cold Case, CSI:Miami, and Criminal Minds before starring in the drama Lost as Frank Lapidus until its' 2010 cancellation. He then returned to movies in Terror Trap and Eldorado (both with Michael Madsen) and Machete (with Don Johnson), and to TV in Law & Order: LA, Chuck, Revolution (with Giancarlo Esposito), Texas Rising (with Bill Paxton), From Dusk to Dawn (with Esai Morales), and Scorpion.

Personal LifeEdit

Fahey is in a partnership with his brother Mike in The Black Sheep Grip company, a respected grip company in Hollywood, and is partners with five of his brothers in a production company, Tyree Productions. Fahey also supports an orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan, and visits there regularly.
