Jay Patterson (born August 22, 1954) is an American actor. He made his TV debut in the show Miami Vice as Billy Joe Higgins, brother of Floyd Higgins (both working for the drug lord Enrique Ruiz) in the episode "Glades".

Early Life/Career[]

Patterson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Princeton High School in nearby Sharonville with future White House Press Secretary Tony Snow (1955-2008). He made his acting debut in 1984's Places In The Heart (with Terry O'Quinn). Patterson played in 1985's Heaven Help Us as Brother Constance, the strict disciplinarian in the Catholic school (with John Heard and Jimmie Ray Weeks), and in D.O.A. (with Jack Kehoe, Brion James, and Robin Johnson), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (with James Saito), Nobody's Fool (with Bruce Willis and Melanie Griffith), A Civil Action (with Dan Hedaya), Nice Guy Johnny, A Million Ways to Die in the West (with Liam Neeson), Ted 2 (with Neeson and Bill Smitrovich), and his most recent movie appearance, 2016's Norman (with Steve Buscemi) In television he has guested in Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU (with Richard Belzer), Third Watch, Murder, She Wrote, The Equalizer, and his most recent TV appearance, It's Freezing Out There.
