Jay Cannistraci (March 21, 1930 - September 15, 2011) made his acting debut as a speaker in a Gambler's Anonymous meeting Stan Switek is attending in the episode "Too Much, Too Late" of the series Miami Vice.
Cannistraci made one other acting appearance, in the 2000 movie The Crew (with Dan Hedaya), but his main role was that of a makeup artist, having worked as one since 1969 (and did the same role with Vice for eleven episodes as well as the Miami Vice movie in 2006). His contributions include the movies Bronco Billy, Arthur, Bad Boys, Trading Places, The Cotton Club, Witness, Rocky V, Forrest Gump, and many others.

Cannistraci died after a long battle with cancer on September 15, 2011, at the age of 81. He is survived by his sister, wife and four children.
