James S. Tolkan (born June 20, 1931, Calumet, Michigan) is an American character actor, mainly playing authoritarian types, who appeared as Mason Mather, a rival tele-evangelist to the Rev. Bill Bob Proverb in the episode "Amen... Send Money" of the series Miami Vice.
