Herb Goldstein (September 13, 1926 - August 25, 2005) made his final TV appearances as Dr. Alfred S. Poe, who froze reggae singer Robillard Nevin, created an antidote for the poisoning that killed him, then died before Nevin could be revived in the episode "The Big Thaw", and Sy Rosenthal, owner of a diner, Holocaust survivor, and witness to the war crimes of Hans Kozak, later killed in his diner in the episode "Victims of Circumstance" of the series Miami Vice.
Goldstein died of unspecified causes on August 25, 2005, in Miami at the age of 78.
