Garcelle Beauvais (born November 26, 1966) is a Haitian-American actress & model. She made her film debut in show Miami Vice as an unnamed waitress in the episode "Give a Little, Take a Little" and Gabriella, a homeless girl and sister to Georges (played by Ving Rhames) in the episode "The Maze".

Early Life/Career

Beauvais was born in St. Marc, Haiti, the youngest of seven siblings. After her parents' divorce, her mother and the children all moved to Massachusetts, then to Miami when Beauvais was seven. After high school graduation, she pursued a modeling career, doing print ads in Avon, Mary Kay and Clairol. She walked the catwalk for Calvin Klein and Issac Mizrahi, and also appeared in Playboy after the birth of her twin sons. She also began an acting career and appeared on Vice at the age of 18. She appeared on The Cosby Show and Hangin' With Mr. Cooper before getting her first regular series appearance, in Aaron Spelling's Models, Inc.. After cancellation, she made guest appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Family Matters before her next series, The Jamie Foxx Show, which lasted five seasons, then after Foxx left the air, appeared on NYPD Blue from 2001-2004. She then made more guest appearances in the series' CSI: Miami, Eyes, Franklin & Bash, and her most recent TV appearance, in the series Grimm. In movies, Beauvais appeared in Manhunter (with Bill Cwikowski, Chris Elliott, Dennis Farina, Kim Griest, Michele Shay, Bill Smitrovich, Jim Zubiena and Michael Talbott), Coming To America, Wild Wild West, Barbershop 2: Back In Business, Women In Trouble, And Then There Was You (with Lynn Whitfield), Small Time (with Xander Berkeley), and her most recent movie appearance, in 2015's Girlfriends Gateway 2 (with Malinda Williams).

Personal Life

Beauvais was married to Daniel Saunders for six years, during which she had her first child, Oliver (b. 1991), after their divorce, she married Mike Nilon in 2001 until their 2011 divorce, they have twin sons, Jax and Jaid (born 2007).
