Francis Stephen Castelluccio (born May 3, 1934) is an American actor, singer and songwriter known by his stage name Frankie Valli, who made his TV acting debut in the show Miami Vice as Frank Doss, mob partner with Johnny Cannata (played by Tom Signorelli) in the episode "Buddies".

Early lifeEdit

Valli was born in Newark, New Jersey. He took up singing from the age of seven after his mother took him to see a Frank Sinatra concert, and adopted his last name "Valli" from a singing mentor from Texas. He worked as a barber until his music career began to take off.

Music careerEdit

Valli joined up with The Variety Trio in 1951, but the group disbanded the following year and Valli, along with Nick Massi (formerly of the Trio), Hugh Garrity, and Bob Gaudio, became the Four Seasons. The group had several big hits, including their first, "Sherry", but Valli also recorded solo, and reached the Billboard Top 10 in 1967 with "My Eyes Adored You", then reached the #1 spot in 1975 with "My Eyes Adored You", and the Top 10 with the disco-inspired "Swearin' To God", then reached #1 again with the theme from "Grease". He continued to perform and record compilation albums, including a 2007 compilation of his favorite 1960's songs, and began touring again with a new Four Seasons group in 2008 and they continue to tour as of 2016. The Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and a movie about their career, The Jersey Boys, was released in 2014.

Acting careerEdit

Valli made numerous guest appearances as himself on many TV shows & movies, but also acted in other roles on TV and film. He made his solo acting debut in 1978's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (with Aerosmith & Peter Allen), then appeared in Dirty Laundry, Eternity, Modern Love, Opposite Corners (with Burt Young), eight episodes of The Sopranos from 2004-06, a 2014 episode of Hawaii Five-O, and the 2014 movie And So It Goes.
