"What You Need" is a song by INXS, featured on the album Listen Like Thieves in 1986 and released as a single in August of that year. appeared in the Miami Vice episode "Trust Fund Pirates".

- "What You Need" was written in one night to add on the album when Atlantic Records and producer Chris Thomas said the album needed a "hit" before release, and it turned out to be the biggest selling single for INXS up to that time.
- The song is one of several featured in Miami Vice that was performed at the iconic Live Aid event in 1985 -- the band played it at the Oz for Africa concert in Sydney, along with "Listen Like Thieves".
