"She's Waiting" is a song by Eric Clapton, featured on the album Behind the Sun in 1985 and released as a single that year. It appeared in the Miami Vice episode "The Lost Madonna".
Notes[]
- This was Clapton's final song to be featured in Miami Vice.
- Playing background synthesizers and guitars are Phil Collins, Lindsey Buckingham, along with Toto's Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro.
- The song is followed in the show by an instrumental 'extension', recorded especially for the episode and played by studio musicians. A similar technique would be used in the Miami Vice film, in which Moby's "Anthem" is followed by a specially-composed reprise.
- The song is one of several featured in Miami Vice that was performed at the iconic Live Aid event in 1985 -- Clapton played it at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, along with "Layla".
