- The song was used as an anthem by the US Armed Forces during the Vietnam War.
- In 2004, "We Got to Get Out of This Place" ranked #233 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Songs of all time.
- The Animals disbanded in 1969. then reunited in 1983, just missing the Billboard Top 40 witn "The Night" (#46). The original band broke up for good after that.
