- This is one of two songs that El DeBarge performs live, the other is "Rhythm of the Night". The single was released as "El DeBarge with DeBarge", as he was about to go solo.
- Though the song did not perform well on Billboard's Hot 100, it did hit #1 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart, and #7 on the R&B chart.
- During the time this song was released, El DeBarge made an appearance on the NBC sitcom, "The Facts of Life" and performed it along with Lisa Welchel, Nancy McKeon, Kim Fields and Mindy Cohn, who sang backup.
