  • Crowded House would only have one other Billboard Top 10 single, "Something So Strong", but would never crack even the Top 40 again.
  • The song provided a backdrop for Caitlin's and Crockett's separation, Crockett returning to his work while Caitlin goes off on a successful tour.
  • The video for the song won the 1987 MTV VMA for Best New Artist.
