Dennis Cooper wrote the episodes "Made For Each Other" (teleplay), "Sons and Lovers", "The Good Collar", "Streetwise", "Red Tape", and "Everybody's In Showbiz", served as story editor for the final ten episodes of the first season, executive story editor for the second season, and as co-producer in the third season for the series Miami Vice.

Cooper's other credits include writing two episodes for St. Elsewhere and Hill Street Blues, one episode of Tour of Duty, three episodes of The Young Riders (with Melissa Leo), wrote for and produced four episodes of Chicago Hope, for which he was nominated for an Emmy, and wrote/directed the movie Ways of the Flesh in 2006.
