Christopher Murney (born July 20, 1943) is an American actor, who appeared in the show Miami Vice as ATF Agent Wilson, who is overseeing Evan Freed's cover role in the episode "Evan".

CareerEdit

Murney was born in Narragansetti, Rhode Island. He began his acting career in 1974 in an early Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie, then his movie debut in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. In 1977 he appeared as Tommy Hanrahan, a goalie who fought with Paul Newman in the movie Slap Shot (with Brad Sullivan), The Last Dragon (with Vanity), Maximum Overdrive (with J.C. Quinn and Giancarlo Esposito), The Secret of My Succe$s (with Margaret Whitton), Barton Fink (with John Turturro, Jon Polito, and Steve Buscemi), Cafe Society (with David Patrick Kelly), and his most recent movie role, Winning Girls Through Psychic Mind Control in 2002.

On television, Murney has appeared in Kojak, The San Pedro Beach Bums, M*A*S*H, Kent State (with Keith Gordon and Lenny Von Dohlen), The Equalizer, Kate & Allie and One Life To Live before a regular role on the cable show Remember WENN, then his most recent TV role on Ed. He is also a voice actor, playing "Elisha Hunt Rhodes" in Ken Burns' The Civil War (with Paul Roebling), then provided his voice on two video games: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Neverwinter Nights 2.

Murney is married to his wife, Anne, and has three children: Julia (an actress), Patrick and Caitlin.
