Benjamin Edward Stiller (born November 30, 1965) is an American actor/producer/director who appeared as "Fast" Eddie Felcher, owner of a religious store (and former mail fraudster) in the episode "Amen... Send Money" of the series Miami Vice.

CareerEdit

Stiller is the son of the husband-and-wife comedy duo Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller (who frequently appear in his movies). After dropping out of UCLA in the mid-1980s, Stiller made a parody of the movie The Color of Money that was purchased by Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels (Stiller would join the cast in 1989 but leave after five shows), then jumped onto the screen, making his TV debut on the show Kate and Allie, later he created his own show, The Ben Stiller Show, which ran on MTV from 1990-91 and again on FOX from 1992-93. The show featured future comedians Janeane Garofalo and Andy Dick, but garnered low ratings (though it was well received critically) and won an Emmy during its' FOX run. His other TV appearances included in the shows Frasier, Newsradio, Friends, Freaks and Geeks, The Simpsons (with Harry Shearer), The King of Queens, King of the Hill, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and his most recent appearance, a voice role in Phineas and Herb.

His movie career began with 1987's Hot Pursuit, later appearing in Fresh Horses (with Viggo Mortensen and Patti D'Arbanville), Next of Kin (with Liam Neeson and Bill Paxton), Stella (with Bob Gerchen), Reality Bites (which Stiller also directed), Happy Gilmore, The Cable Guy, There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents (and its' sequels Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers), Zoolander, The Royal Tennebaums, Along Came Polly (with Jsu Garcia), Starsky and Hutch (with Paul Michael Glaser, David Soul, and Richard Edson), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, A Night at the Museum, The Heartbreak Kid, Tropic Thunder, and his most recent movie appearance, 2011's Tower Heist (with Frank Pesce).

Personal LifeEdit

Stiller married actress Christine Taylor in 2000, they have two children; daughter Ella Olivia (born 2002) and son Quinlin Dempsey (born 2005). Stiller's sister, Amy (born 1961), is also an actress.

Stiller's production company is named for a plot element of an episode of Star Trek: The Original Series (of which he is a big fan), Red Hour Productions.
