Alan J. Levi directed the episode "Little Prince" for the series Miami Vice.

Levi has been a director and producer. His career began as a director in the 1969 series Letters To Laugh-In, then moved into the sci-fi genre, directing episodes of The Invisible Man, Gemini Man, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman (and one of the 1980s reunion movies, Bionic Showdown (featuring Sandra Bullock in her first TV role), the original Battlestar Galactica, The Incredible Hulk, Voyagers! the TV movie The Invisible Woman (also produced), Quantum Leap (with Dean Stockwell), and RoboCop. He also worked with famed producer Donald Bellisario on Galactica and Leap, and on several other shows he created, including Magnum, P.I., Tales of the Gold Monkey, Airwolf, JAG, NCIS, and his latest assignment, NCIS: Los Angeles. Some of his other TV credits include Buffy The Vampire Slayer, ER, Columbo (also produced), Dr, Quinn, Medicine Woman, and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
